Getting a Corporate Headshot in Rochester, Buffalo or Albany

The studio is in Liverpool, a few minutes outside Syracuse. A good share of the work does not happen there.

Upstate New York is a two hour drive end to end in most directions, and the professionals in it have the same problem regardless of which city they are in. The image representing them is out of date, or it was never right, and the nearest option is somebody shooting weddings on the weekend.

Here is how sessions outside Syracuse actually work.

For a team, on-site is almost always the answer. If there are enough people in one building, I bring the studio to you. Background, lighting, all of it, into a conference room for a morning. Everyone gets photographed the same way on the same day, which is the entire reason a leadership page reads as credible instead of assembled.

Rochester is about ninety minutes. Buffalo is around two and a half hours. Albany is about two and a half the other way. All of them are a day, not a trip.

For one person, it depends on what you need. If you want the studio, the studio is in Liverpool and it is worth the drive for a lot of people, because a controlled room is a controlled room. Same background, same light, same result, every time.

If driving to Syracuse is not realistic, say so when you get in touch. Depending on where you are and what else is on the calendar, there is often a way.

What does not change, wherever we do it. The same lighting. The same approach. The same amount of time, which is to say however long it takes, because I do not run a timer on a session. Somebody who settles in quickly is done quickly. Somebody who needs twenty minutes to stop bracing gets twenty minutes.

That is the part that travels. The gear is the easy part to put in a car.

When it is worth it. When your face is part of how you do business. Executives, business owners, attorneys, financial advisors, speakers, podcasters, anyone who gets hired partly because of how they come across before they open their mouth.

Your headshot is the first sentence of every business conversation you are not in the room for. That is true in Buffalo exactly the way it is true in Syracuse.
